Dr. Edwin “Trey” Nunnery is a fellowship-trained cornea specialist and a board-certified ophthalmologist. He is also the owner and Medical director of our surgeon-owned medical practice. Dr. Nunnery’s primary specialty is refractive surgery, including all-laser LASIK, EVO ICL, and PRK. He will be personally focused on your well-being before, during, and after your surgery. Determining the best vision correction care option for each patient is Dr. Nunnery’s passion and commitment.
Dr. Nunnery is personable, authentic, and empathetic, with exceptional attention to detail. All of these critical qualities have become synonymous with Providence Eye over the years. Without this level of attention and commitment, even the best technology would not allow us to meet the high expectations we have set for ourselves.
Dr. Nunnery called Atlanta, Georgia home for most of his life. After attending the University of Georgia, he launched his medical education in Atlanta at Emory University. It is here where Dr. Nunnery met his wife Valerie. Their fellowship training took them north (briefly) to Albany, NY where he completed his fellowship training to become a cornea specialist. Dr. Nunnery returned to his Southern roots to join Providence Eye & Laser Specialists. When Dr. Nunnery is not working, you can find him hiking and exploring the outdoors with his wife and daughters.
