Q: What is your name?
A: My name is Tara Rios.
Q: Are you married? Do you have any children?
A: I have been married for almost 4 years to my husband, Steve. We have the sweetest 2½ year old daughter, Piper Cavell, and 3 fur-babies. It’s a busy household!
Q: How long have you lived in Charlotte?
A: I moved to Charlotte in 2007 with some friends and met Steve shortly after at a Panthers Monday Night Football Game. I was obviously there to see Tampa Bay play!
Q: Where are you from originally?
A: I am originally from the Clearwater/Largo area in Florida, which is just outside of Tampa.
Q: When did you join Providence Eye & Laser Specialists?
A: I joined Providence Eye in October 2013.
Q: What is your role at Providence Eye?
A: I am a Certified Ophthalmic Assistant. My primary role is to lead patients through the LASIK consultation process and to help determine if they are a great candidate for LASIK eye surgery. I also help with routine eye exams and preparing patients on the day of their surgery.
Q: What do you like best about your position at Providence Eye?
A: I love working at Providence Eye! It’s really amazing to see how many people Dr. Mozayeni has helped, and it’s rewarding to be a part of the process. I have also made great friends while working here.
Q: Why did you decide that Providence Eye was the right place for you?
A: I knew Providence Eye was the place for me when I saw how family friendly everyone is. It is tough being a working mother sometimes, and my coworkers are flexible and understanding. I also love that Dr. Mozayeni supports and provides continuing education. We are always encouraged to learn and grow within our field and are given some great opportunities to do so!
Q: What do you like most about Charlotte?
A: I love the fall in Charlotte. I love that a trip to the mountains is only a short drive away; the weather is great here, and there is always something fun to do!
Q: What do you like least about Charlotte?
A: The beach! Or lack thereof! It gets really hot here in the summer, and I miss having the beach in my back yard!
