Well, I did it! I can’t believe it but I did! After it is all said and done, I don’t know why I was so nervous. The morning of the surgery I woke up and surprisingly enough, I was not nervous or apprehensive like at the beginning of my LASIK journey. I was scheduled for 1:30 pm so I had all morning to worry about but I didn’t.
When I arrived at Providence Eye, Dr. Mozayeni double checked my vision and explained what was expected during the surgery. I was then happily given my Valium . There were no surprises! The procedure lasted only about 10 minutes, I didn’t feel anything, I had to look at the blinking light and before I knew it – it was over. All that worry for what – NOTHING! Dr. Mozayeni made me feel safe and secure. I just knew I was in good hands. This whole time from start to finish I was never pushed or rushed into making any kind of decision and when I had questions, they were answered. Dr. Mozayeni and his staff are an amazing team! I didn’t realize how much I was used to my blurred vision. It’s amazing how we take things for granted. Now I see crystal clear! The TV, the computer, when cooking, my watch, my smartphone and best yet – my golf ball after my drive! I still can’t believe it!
No one can make the decision for you if you are contemplating having LASIK. What I do know is you need to feel comfortable and safe in choosing your doctor, and I felt just that with Dr. Mozayeni! Thank you Dr. Mozayeni for taking such good care of me and helping me overcome my fears – oh and my new amazing eyesight too!
