Intra-Lasik | Z-Lasik | Charlotte
LASIK is a two step procedure where a flap of corneal tissue is created then the underlying tissue is reshaped with a laser.
Intra-Lasik | Z-Lasik | Charlotte
Intra-LASIK is when the flap is made with a laser instead of a blade. Intra-LASIK has proven itself to be safer and more precise. It is also known as I-LASIK and Z-LASIK depending on who manufactures the laser although Intra or I-LASIK has a much longer track record and is more widely accepted as the standard in blade free LASIK compared to Z-LASIK.
PRK | Epi-Lasik | Charlotte
With PRK, Epi-LASIK, and LASEK, the cornea is reshaped by the exact same laser as Intra-LASIK. The corneal cover can be removed using a variety of available methods and is always a painless process taking less than 20 seconds.
Contact Lenses | Charlotte
The Contact Lens Service at Providence Eye and Laser Specialists offers a full range of contact lens options to correct nearsightedness, farsightedness, and astigmatism, including multi-focal and monovision contacts to correct presbyopia which can eliminate the need for reading glasses.
Cataracts | Restor | Charlotte
The human eye is like a camera having an external lens called the cornea and an internal lens simply called the crystalline lens. With Intra-LASIK the cornea is reshaped by a laser while with cataract surgery the crystalline lens is replaced with an artificial one.
Contact Lenses | Monovision | Charlotte
Currently, there are several choices when dealing with presbyopia. These include reading glasses, bifocal eyeglasses or bifocal (multi-focal) contact lenses. Another option is monovision, where a contact lens is used in one or both eyes, allowing you to use one eye to see far and the other to see close up.

Unlike most others, we do not perform a simple screening by one of our employees. Each patient will have a complete vision correction evaluation by Dr. Mozayeni and Dr. Mills and have an opportunity to discuss all their questions with them.
