The Contact Lens Service at Providence Eye and Laser Specialists offers a full range of contact lens options to correct nearsightedness, farsightedness, and astigmatism, including multi-focal and monovision contacts to correct presbyopia which can eliminate the need for reading glasses.
Upon completion of a comprehensive eye examination, which includes the use of the latest Pentacam corneal evaluation system, we will select the most appropriate type of contact lens customized for each individual patient’s needs. Because of our experience and expertise in fitting contact lenses as well as advances in both soft and rigid gas permeable contact lens design and materials, we have been successful in fitting patients who in the past have been unable to wear contact lenses.
Because of our expertise in the detection and management of corneal and dry eye problems, we often times are able to address ocular health issues first thus allowing for a better contact lens experience than before. Also, our technicians are highly skilled at training new contact lens patients how to insert and remove contacts efficiently as well as instructing on the proper care of contacts so that the experience with contacts is rewarding.
