Do you have a pair of old glasses or contact lenses that you no longer wear? Have you recently had a successful LASIK surgery or a change in your prescription? Recycle your unused, unexpired and unopened contact lenses through the MADRE Helping Hands program, which aids people all over the world who cannot afford or do not have access to glasses or contact lenses.
Help Providence Eye & Laser Specialists in our efforts to send supplies to MADRE, an international women’s human rights organization dedicated to meeting urgent needs in communities and building lasting solutions to women in crisis.
MADRE accepts eyeglasses and contacts within a valid expiration date range. Please check the expiration date as the lens recycling organization does not accept any items that expire within six months of the date it is mailed.
The following lenses and eyewear supplies are allowed:
- Eyeglasses (preferably in cases)
- Sunglasses
- Eyeglass Cases
- Contact Lenses
- Contact Cases
- Contact Lens Cleaning Solution
How to Donate Recycled Eyeglasses or Contact Lenses
- Package unused, unexpired lenses carefully to protect the lenses from damage.
